Help and support Guide

For the clinical team

Set up from the MRI report

Start with normal anatomy. Use the MRI report to show the size and position of a confirmed tumour, then show the plan your team has discussed. Initial tumour settings are examples: replace them with the report details. One lesion within the prostate is illustrated.

Tumour

Tumour on the model

Changing a tumour setting below also adds it.

Longest tumour diameter mm

Use the diameter on imaging. The length of cancer in a biopsy core is not the tumour diameter.

Position from apex to base

Side in the report

Patient’s left appears on your right when looking from the front.

Zone in the report

Front or back

Size comes from the report. The rounded shape and position are schematic. This view does not map multiple lesions, stage cancer or show growth outside the prostate.

Prostate size

Match the gland dimensions

Enter the dimensions if recorded on the scan. Otherwise these are illustrative adult dimensions.

Width: left to right mm

Height: apex to base mm

Depth: front to back mm

Views and layers

Use Whole body, Pelvis and Prostate to move closer in the same scene. Show / hide controls the body outline, nearby anatomy, cut-away, measurements and labels. Use Snapshot to collect views for the patient’s sheet.

Key measurements

Tumour values come from the report. Gland dimensions are illustrative defaults until changed; anatomy and lesion shape are simplified.

Treatment options

Show the operation your team has discussed

Choose a picture of the planned operation. The model does not select a treatment.

Share with the patient

Make a picture sheet to send

Set up each view you want, then press Snapshot above the model. You can add up to 4. If you add none, the current view is used.

Prepared for (optional)

Urology nurse or key worker (optional)

Note for the patient (optional)

Include the plain-words summary Include key measurements Include the operation shown Include where to get help and information Add a page explaining the labels in plain English Add a QR code that reopens this picture (holds the model settings only, never the name or notes)

Names and notes typed here never leave this device and are forgotten when you close the page. Check the sheet before sending, and use your organisation's approved secure route.

Slice through the tumour

A schematic slice through the selected level. As on an axial MRI, front is at the top and the patient’s left is on your right. This is not the patient’s scan.
