Guide

For the clinical team

Set up from the scan or laparoscopy report

Start with normal anatomy. Use the ultrasound, MRI or laparoscopy report to show where endometriosis was found and the size of any endometrioma, then show the treatment your team has discussed. Initial settings are examples: replace them with the report details.

Endometriosis

Endometriosis on the model

Ticking a place or changing a setting below also adds it.

Where the report describes it On the pelvic lining (peritoneum) On an ovary: endometrioma (chocolate cyst) Behind the womb (pouch of Douglas, deep endometriosis) On the bowel On the bladder Scar tissue (adhesions)Tick any that apply, from the ultrasound, MRI or laparoscopy report. Scans can be normal even when endometriosis is present.

Ovary with the endometrioma

The patient’s right or left.

Size of the endometrioma mm

Use the largest size, as written in the report. With both ovaries, enter the larger one.

The places ticked and the endometrioma’s side and size come from the report. The places and sizes of the patches and scar tissue are examples, and all shapes are schematic. No classification or scoring system is used.

Views and layers

Use Whole body, Pelvis and Womb and ovaries to move closer in the same scene; Side shows the space behind the womb. Show / hide controls the body outline, bowel, bladder, rectum and pelvic floor, sacrum, measurements and labels.

Key measurements

Places and the endometrioma’s side and size come from the report. The organs are an average adult’s; patch places and sizes are examples.

This is a simplified teaching model of endometriosis in the pelvis. It does not interpret scans or operation findings, diagnose, grade or classify endometriosis, or judge which treatment is right. Patch places and sizes are examples, and all shapes are schematic. Important information · Nothing is saved.
